Lion King Tickets

  The Lion King has been described as a spectacular visual feast.  This adaptation of Disney’s much-loved film takes you to a beautiful world that bursts with wonderful colors, amazing effects and charming music.  All in all it is the well beloved story of Simba and his epic journey from wide-eyed cub to his destined role as king of the Pridelands.

  The Lion King is a musical that was based on the 1994 Disney film with music by Elton John.  Tim Rice along with the musical score created by Hans Zimmer and directed by Julie Taymor, the musical features actors in animal costumes as well as giant hollow puppets.  This musical is produced by Disney Theatrical.

  This musical started out on July 8^th in 1997, three years after the release of the animated film.  It started out in Minneapolis in Minnesota at the Orpheum Theatre.  It was an instant success before premiering on Broadway at the New Amsterdam Theater on October 15, 1997.  It is now Broadway’s ninth longest-running show in all history.
