La Cage Aux Folles Tickets

   “La Cage Aux Folles is a Broadway musical based on the beloved French film.  It focuses on a gay couple: Georges, the manager of a Saint-Tropez nightclub featuring drag entertainment.  Albin is his romantic partner and star attraction.  Farcical adventures ensue when George’s son, Jean-Michel, brings home his Fiancées ultra-conservative parents to meet them.

  The revival is directed by Terry Johnson, with choreography by Lynne Page, sets by Tim Shortall, wigs and make-up by Richard Mawbey, costumes by Mathew Wright, musical supervision and orchestrations by Jason Carr and musical direction by Nigel Lilley.  It is being produced by Chocolate Factory Productions, David Ian Productions, Sonia Friedman Productions, Tulchin/Bartner, The Ambaassador Theatre Group, Jamie Hendry, David Mirvish, and Matthew Mitchell.

  The musicals original 1983 Broadway production also received nine nominations for Tony Awards and won six of them!  It includes Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book.  The success of the musical created a West End Production and several international runs.  The 2004 Broadway revival won the Tony Award for Best Revival, and the 2008 London revival garnered the Laurence Olivier Award for Best Musical Revival.
