  The ever famous musical of Dreamgirls is still around it its here to stay.  This musical has gained international fame over the many years for its many successes.  It deals with a group of people who are trying to make it big in the show business and that means carrying all the different aches and pains of love and heartache as well.  Truly a delight for the whole family!

  This musical is truly based off of the business aspirations and success in the R&B culture, with acts like James Brown, The Supremes and many many more.  The musicals were such a success that they eventually made into a movie later in 2006 which was also a great hit for Paramount Pictures and DreamWorks.

  The music of Dreamgirls was written by Henry Krieger with the lyrics and the book written as well by Tom Eyen.  The original Dreamgirls musical opened up on December 20, 1981 and it was later nominated for a whopping thirteen Tony Awards.  It ended up winning six of these thirteen one including the Tony Award for the Best Musical.
