This opera tells the story of a young prince who travels to a distant land and gets lost.  The story continues about 3 maidens who save his life from a snake and go to inform the queen about him.  It is a beautiful story told in the classic way that has been told since the late 1700’s.

This play was originally composed by Mozart in 1781 in a German libretto.  This work was formed into a type of Singspiel.  This was something that included talking and singing.
