  Among many other teems in the MLB, the Red Sox is one of them belonging to the American League Eastern Division.  Fenway Park has been the ballpark of the Red Sox.  Team owner, Taylor named the team the “Red Sox” a couple years before the Fenway park had even began being built.  He actually had it build on his very own family land.

  In 1901 the club was founded as just one of the 8 other American League franchises.  The Red Sox have 6 World Series as of now.  They won in the years of 1903 defeating the Pittsburgh Pirates, and they also won 4 more championships in the year of 1918.  Since 1918 they have had the worst luck at winning these championships.  Many years passed until they finally shrugged off their bad luck in 2004.  In 2004 they won their 6^th World Series Championship.  They have been said to be, “arguably the most successful MLB team in the last decade.” 

  One thing is for sure, the Red Sox fans are definitely a devoted bunch.  Every single game played at Fenway Park ever since 2003 has been completely sold out.  That happens to be a MLB record of 6 years.  They have ranked number 11 in home attendance.
