Later on the two members parted their ways and headed looking on to separate professions. Jon worked in power station studios where he would play demos to many major recording companies. All his efforts went in vain as they were not so impressed of his works. After this Jon went on to a local radio station and played his demos. It was loved by the radio jockey and the song ‘ Runaway ‘ was played on the radio and became a hit among the people and ever since then there was no turning back for Jon.

Later on after the success of his first song Jon Bon Jovi had been contacted by his old mate and band member David Bryan. In the short time after leaving him David had been in contact with lead guitarist Alec John Such and drummer Tico Torres. Later for the playing the lead guitar Dave Sabi was approached. He had accepted the offer and the band was formed. But after a few years Dave Sabo left the band to form his own band called Skid row. Thus the vacancy was filled up by Ritchie Sambora.
